Summer Staged Readings 2010

REDBUD PRODUCTIONS PRESENTS
SUMMER STAGED READINGS 2010
AT KERRYTOWN CONCERT HOUSE

Wed., July 28 (8:00 pm)
From Up Here
Redbud Productions presents a staged reading (and the local premiere) of Liz Flahive’s comedy/drama of family relationships – winner of the Outer Critics Circle Award!

Kenny Barrett (Tanner Wood) did something at school that has everyone worried. He wishes he could just make it through the rest of his high school year unnoticed, but that’s going to be hard since he has to publicly apologize to his entire school.

His frazzled stressed-out mom (Halla Motawi), his tough, but tender, sister (Jenny Pritchett) and even his pot-loving aunt (Emily Rogers) are all concerned! What will happen – and will that cute girl ask him to the prom? Emeka Amene, Pat Grimes, Mike Hahn & Karina Stribley are also featured in this amusing, touching new play of family relationships, directed by Erica Dutton.

Wed., Aug. 11 (8:00 pm)
The Piano Teacher
Redbud Productions presents the local premiere, in staged reading form, of Julia Cho’s intensely gripping drama of faded memories

Mrs. K (Sandy Ryder) fondly recalls her years teaching piano to her beloved students- – but what went wrong? Will former students (Deb Wood and Charles Jackson) uncover her secrets from long ago? And who is the mysterious caller who keeps calling, calling, calling and then hanging up??

Lenore Ferber directs this brilliant new play of memories and the mysterious past.
